Every autumn we offer training to novices in Aboyne Community Centre Swimming Pool. Currently this is every Thursday evening. Its about building confidence in a warm safe environment, with our friendly coaches.

Our three indoor pool sessions are typically structured to include:
Learn basic strokes and moves, develop balance, practice rescues or learn how to roll. Once you are confident paddling then you can test yourself indoors with a dynamic game of Kayak Polo.
After a winter of honing skills indoors beginners are ready to venture outdoors...
You can book for up to 3 sessions at a time.
You must book for all pool sessions.
At your third pool session you can then book 3 more sessions and so on. This gives other people a chance to get slots.
This applies to the polo sessions as these have been really popular too.
If you have not booked and there is not a space/cancellation then no paddling that evening for you. You can turn up and see if there is space at a session but no guarantees.
If unwell or unable to attend please do call pool bookings asap so we can let a person on the reserve list have the space.
