If you are interested in paddling progression then we recommend you visit the SCA Website to find up to date courses and events.

We recommend Aboyne Canoe Club led Personal Performance Awards as a good starting point.

Since safety is paramount it is always a good idea to pursue Flat Water Rescue and White Water Rescue Courses as well as first aid training.

Safety courses are the pre-requisites for Leader and Coach Awards.

Once a confident paddler you could begins pursuing coaching and leadership awards such as Paddlesports Leader or White Water Leader.

We are affiliated to the Scottish Canoe Association, and our coaches are steadily garnering the qualifications that will allow them to coach and lead more demanding excursions.

We are affiliated to the Aberdeenshire Sports Council who we can apply to for help funding training courses for our members.  Previous funding support has help subsidise First Aid, a White Water Safety Course and a Whitewater Leader Training weekend.
